This Pride Month, I had a calming and creative meditative drawing workshop where we combined simple drawing techniques with mindfulness practices to help participants unwind, focus, and
express themselves through art. This welcoming and inclusive program invited participants of all identities to relax, connect, and create community in an artistic space.

Artist Talk and Make Your Own Nebula Workshop | Free Admission
For this event, I joined the Community for Conscious Aging at the Jung Center Houston to create a workshow where the public could meet the artists behind the
gallery’s current exhibitions: "Bipeds: Mirrors of the Psyche" by Francisco Pereira & "Nebulas" by me. We connected with the community through an intimate conversation about ourselves and our
work. We discussed how to approach 'mistakes' in a piece, routines, and the rituals that shape our creative process. We discussed certain symbols and themes that recur in our works
and how one can uncover their own thread of inspiration. The community came with curiosity and left with something deeper.
The Artist Talks were followed by Make Your Qwn Nebula workshop where all materials were provided. They each
got to take home 2 small art pieces and a bookmarker, this was followed by snacks and chats with creative community members.
Using Intuitive Process in Art: Mixed Media Watercolors with Stephanie Gonzalez
In this workshop, I taught how to utilize your own intuition in a creative process while gaining experience with mixed media watercolor techniques. Beginner and
seasoned artists were encouraged to attend this event, where they got to explore new ways to enhance their watercolor paintings.
I guided them through various techniques to incorporate different textures into their artwork using an intuitive process. Participants took home a triptych of their
very own abstract art. All materials were provided.
This workshop took place at CREO Houston in the Heights. They hold
various community events.
